Memories Of Life In The U.S. & Europe
Translated Into Original Impressionist Paintings |
|
After photographing life throughout the U.S., Spain, France, Switzerland, Greece, England, Italy, Russia, and Ireland, Bill's acrylic impressionist paintings interpret his photos.
He began painting in oils, and continues to develop techniques through personal and professional tutoring focused on impressionism. Over 1200 hours of continuous workshop participation provides diverse styles, particularly focusing on U.S.& European landscapes and villagescapes.
To continue his learning, Bill has observed art techniques in museums and galleries throughout the U.S. & Europe, including the Getty, Hermitage, Louvre, Georges Pompidou, Musee d Orsay, El Prado, Thyssen and others. His paintings emphasize the use of bolder, vibrant colors, capturing sunlight and shadows of the early and late day.
Bill's goal is to share the antiquity and beauty of U.S. & European cities, villages and country sides through impressionist paintings.
Bill's work is on display at the Cove Gallery, Pacific Coast Highway, Laguna Beach, California, and Mario's restaurant, Marbella Center, in San Juan Capistrano. His 6 grandchildren below are the'apples of his eye'!
